As our squad of 8 players departed school Thursday morning, they had already broken new ground by being the first ever boys’ team to represent our school at a FAI Primary 5s tournament. We travelled full of ambition and optimism towards Carrigaline AFC to compete against 8 other schools.
Over the course of the day, the boys equipped themselves very well, demonstrating great determination, skill, encouragement and belief. We experienced the full range of emotions associated with sport as we won, lost and drew at various stages of the tournament. As a school, we are extremely proud of how the boys represented themselves on and off the pitch, showing wonderful respect to each other, staff, referees and opposing players.
Thanks to all the players that were involved with the training sessions and congratulations to the final squad that competed at Carrigaline AFC.
