Learn Together Assembly 2nd December: 5th Class

Dec 19, 2022

On Friday the 2nd of December, fifth class presented ‘The Convention on the Rights of the Child’ as their topic for the school’s monthly Learn Together assembly. It started with a rap which was written and performed by one of the children. After the rap, children from both Yvonne’s class and Clive’s class spoke about the history of the United Nations Convention. A wonderful display of drawing & colour was seen when a number of children presented posters showcasing some of the rights they felt are most important to them. Finally, the assembly ended with a lovely rendition of Love Shine A Light.

On the 2nd of December, we had an assembly about children’s rights. We shared information about children’s rights, our hexagon posters and we sang a song ‘Love Shine a Light’. It was so much fun.  by AO’D
